At our Careers in Construction Reception Thursday, November 8th, we were able to listen to past and current CIC students speak about how the program has impacted their lives and futures. Read below to learn how CIC is making a difference!
Alejandra, a 2018 graduate of Mitchell High School, spoke about how her experience in CIC helped her realize her dream of becoming an architect. Through the CIC program, she was able to obtain a scholarship to @Pikes Peak Community College and is now working on her associate’s degree in architecture.
Jace, a current CIC student at The MiLL, spoke about how the CIC program is preparing him for his dream of becoming a Project Manager by providing opportunities for industry-level experiences, such as an NAHB Project Management course he recently took at the Housing & Building Association.
Jason, a current CIC student at The MiLL, spoke about how because of the CIC program, he is now excited about going to school. The MiLL has started preparing for their Home Build Project, and Jason will be leading his class as the Foreman. After graduation, Jason plans to join the Electrician’s Union in Colorado Springs to train and become an electrician.
